Test smarter – not harder

With this strategy, we support clients with expertise and best practices to achieve their goals.

Our strategy – “test smarter not harder” sounds easy but delivers the most effective way to achieve a short time to market, combined with optimised budget and necessary risk coverage.

What’s behind this magic sentence?

Often clients approach us with the request to automate all their existing test cases. The reason behind this request is caused by the opinion that automating existing test cases, instead of testing these manually, would save time and money. However, in reality it is not like that and to be honest – does not really make sense.

In many cases it’s better to follow a risk-based approach. The first step is to evaluate the highest business risks and reflect to existing test cases, followed by adapting or expanding the testing scope. Often, it is obvious that existing test cases don’t really have a strong impact on the risk coverage and result in time-consuming test activities.

The reflection often leads to much less test cases with, in total, higher risk overage. Less test cases have a higher impact on the costs and speed. Clients reduce the cost of drivers i.e., cost for maintenance combined with a faster test execution. This strategy leads to a short time to market, higher risk coverage and finally strongly reduced costs.
